INTASORB

Description

INTASORB is made from highly absorbant material that will chemically bind the moisture in the plastic to prevent problems in the converting processing, such as lensing, voiding, and splash marks. Thus INTASORB offers a simple and economical way to eliminate these moisture-caused problems.

Application

• INTASORB is mainly used in polyethylene blown film manufacture to produce shopping bags, garbage bags, general purpose bags, etc.
• INTASORB can be easily processed in standard equipments without further modification.
• Typically 1wt% addition of INTASORB will absorb in excess of 2000 ppm moisture.
• To keep the effectiveness of INTASORB, the mixing time must be kept as short as possible and the mixture should be utilized within 6 hours.
• Material with less moisture should blend INTASORB and other additives at room temperature before processing. Material with higher moisture content should blend INTASORB and other additive in at 40oC before processing.

Packaging

• Careful handling of INTASORB is necessary to make sure that the packing does not break. When the packing breaks, the pellet will swell and turn white.
• INTASORB must be processed within 6 hours.
• INTASORB is supplied in a 20 kgs box containing 5 kg vacuumed packs. INTASORB should be stored in clean, cool and dry place to prevent moisture absorption.
